Yellow Weather Warning for Thunderstorms

The Met Office has issued a severe weather warning for thunderstorms effective 03:00 – 22:00 Wednesday 26^th August 2026.

There is low likelihood of medium impacts including lightening, surface water flooding, travel disruption and loose debris.

There is a chance there will be a second warning later this week and as such, it’s advised to check the Met Office website for updates.

Affinity Water has extended their hosepipe ban (Temporary Use Ban) to the East region, covering the Tendring Peninsula in Essex (CO7, CO11, CO12, CO13, CO14, CO15, CO16).
