To approve as a correct record the minutes of the Environment & Community             meeting held on Thursday 1st July 2025.
4 Matters Arising from the Minutes of the Last Meeting

 

·         E05/25 – To provide an update on the faulty streetlight St Nicholas Church

·         E05/25 – To provide an update on the Wilder Towns Initiative

·        E11/25 – To provide an update on the Litter picking initiative

5 Matters Arising from Previous Minutes

 

6 Horticultural Report

To receive a report from the Horticultural Adviser and consider any necessary action.

7 LHP Panel

To receive a report on behalf of the LHP representative for HTC and consider any projects.

8 Recycling Boxes

To consider options in procuring recycling boxes from TDC to store at the Guildhall for residents to purchase.

9 Harwich Turnpike Road

To consider funding of three replacement cast iron mile posts in the Harwich and Dovercourt area – Harwich to London Turnpike Road and to consider the ongoing ownership and maintenance.

10 Bad Weather Conditions

Clerk to report on the preparatory arrangements in place in readiness for the coming winter and to ask for volunteers to distribute leaflets of HTC’s salt scheme initiative.

11 TDC Local Community Resilience Workshop – 17th September 2025

Report from Cllr Saunders and Cllr Armstrong following attendance at the             Community Resilience Workshop and to appoint representatives for the 2025/2026             Municipal Year.

12 Budget Update and Proposed Budget for Municipal Year 2026/2027

To review and consider the committee budget for the coming year.

13 Matters Received in the Post or Raised by Members

 

·         Car Parking Issues – Birch Avenue / Old Vicarage / Elmhurst Road

Request for Highways to put in place measures to ensure safe parking

 

·         Parking of HGVs near the leading lights, Marine Parade, and weight restrictions

14 Date of Next Meeting

The next meeting of the Environment & Community Committee is scheduled to be held on Thursday 22nd January 2025.
