PRESS RELEASE: Events to celebrate 30 years of Home-Start Harwich supported by Harwich Town Council
Harwich Town Council is a long standing supporter of the wonderful work done by Home-Start Harwich within the local community and greatly appreciates all that it has done to support families living on the Harwich Peninsula.
Home-Start Harwich is celebrating its 30th anniversary and submitted an application to Harwich Town Council for grant funding for two events aimed at both celebrating 30 years of achievements and also to promote the work carried out within the local community by Home-Start Harwich.
At a meeting of Harwich Town Council’s Finance and General Purposes Committee those present unanimously agreed to provide the full £950 requested.
The two events planned by Home-Start Harwich are a celebration bringing together all of the local community organisations which have worked with and supported Home-Start Harwich over the last 30 years and a fun picnic to bring together parents, carers and families past and present who have benefited from the work and support of Home-Start Harwich.
Cllr. Pam Morrison, chair of the Finance and General Purposes Committee, says, “Home-Start Harwich provides vital support to families living locally and Harwich Town Council has always supported their work whenever possible. Their achievements over 30 years are remarkable and we are pleased to assist Home-Start Harwich to celebrate this anniversary.”
